Isn't she lovely? A woman, an antelope, or both? Or is she one, about to become the other? How different her two faces are.She was carved in the 1960s by a Makonde sculptor, a talented and skilled wood carver whose name I don't know.
A gift from the late Tom and Alvina Wylie, this shape-shifting lady has lived with us for the past twenty-five years.
