We have a great mild climate here in the
Lower mainland, but a recent stay on Vancouver Island reminded me it's even milder and warmer over there. At
Pacific Shores in Parksville, fan palms and desert succulents grow in the gardens cheek by jowl with the temperate rainforest evergreens.
