A rare female self-portrait from the Beaverbrook Gallery
The London-based artist is Marie Spartali Stillman, and the painting is entitled "Girl with White Roses."
Stillman (1844-1927) was a Pre-Raphaelite and a friend and colleague of
, Dante Gabriel Rossetti, and
The artist trained under Ford Madox Brown and exhibited at
in Piccadilly, The

Part of the Beaverbrook Masterworks, the painting can be seen at the
Art Museum until tomorrow.
