St. Stephen's Green

The gorgeous St. Stephen's Green Park in the centre of Dublin was opened to the public by Lord Ardilaun, a member of the famous Dublin family of Guinness fame. He decided early that he wanted to see this marvelous green space open to the public and would make that happen should it ever be in his power. It was, and he did. His statue stands in the park.

We feasted our senses on gorgeous displays of tulips, along with fragrant lilac and hawthorn blossom and the music of birdsong.
